Em vaig formar com a Enginyer en Biosistemes i vaig fer el doctorat al CREAF, centrat en ecofisiologia forestal. La meva recerca s’orienta a entendre com responen les plantes i els ecosistemes forestals al canvi climàtic, amb un èmfasi especial en la sequera, els processos atmosfèrics i els mecanismes ecofisiològics que els regulen.

En els darrers anys he treballat com a investigador postdoctoral a l’Imperial College London i a la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Ara torno al CREAF, on durant els propers dos anys desenvoluparé el projecte HYDRECO. L’objectiu principal és estudiar la variabilitat intraespecífica dels trets hidràulics de les plantes i el seu potencial per millorar les prediccions de resposta dels boscos europeus davant d’un clima canviant.
