SIPARCContracts and agreementsProject duration: Jan 2005 to Jun 2013This project is part of Natural Heritage Information System of CataloniaIntroductionThe objective of this project is to promote the management and planning of protected areas through the development of new computer tools aimed at facilitating the control of information on aspects such as interventions, reports and official notifications. Prior to the development of these tools, an important task of integration and standardisation of information is carried out, thereby permitting joint analysis of information for all protected areas. The Catalan Parks Information System currently comprises a set of modules, some of which are shared with other administrative units which are not protected areas (interventions and natural protected spaces) and of others which are exclusive to protected areas (reports and official notifications).
