OEMC Global Workshop 2026

The Open-Earth-Monitor Cyberinfrastructure (OEMC) Global Workshop 2026 is an international conference about Earth Observation organized within the framework of the Horizon Europe OEMC project, in which CREAF is a partner. This event marks the final edition of a series of annual international workshops that have brought cutting-edge Earth Observation research and innovation to several European cities, including Bolzano, Laxenburg, Perugia, and now Barcelona.

This workshop will be hosted by CREAF and the OpenGeoHub Foundation with a special focus on “Next-Generation EO & GeoAI Built on Openness and Distributed Data".

This three-day hybrid event will feature a diverse program including keynote lectures, hands-on workshops, oral presentations, and poster sessions. Discussions will center on the accessibility, interoperability, and effective use of Earth Observation data, with broad participation from the policy, academic, and business communities.

In addition, the OEMC consortium will present its final outcomes and tools, gather feedback and requirements from end users and developers, and engage with organizations and projects from around the world working on open-source technologies, Earth Observation data, and state-of-the-art solutions for environmental monitoring.

The call for abstracts is open until 1 April: https://pretalx.earthmonitor.org/global-workshop-2026/cfp
