Marina Torres Gibert
I hold a degree in Environmental Biology at UAB and a specialization in Science Communication at BSM-UPF. I am currently part of the Communication team at CREAF as the Science Social Communication Officer. My role involves coordinating CREAF’s social media content and maintaining a cross-cutting perspective of the center’s activities to generate content of interest to society.
Throughout my career, I have worked in communication offices at various research centers in Catalonia. I have experience in institutional communication, digital campaigns, media relations, and organizing outreach activities. Also, I have been managing communication for citizen science projects, including Mosquito Alert.
I collaborate as a lecturer in the Environmental Biology degree at UAB and in the One Health Master’s program at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UAB, focusing on science communication. I have collaborated in science outreach on radio and audiovisual media, and I am a member of the ACCC.
