Climate change ecology

The Ecolab Climate Change group studies the impacts of climate change on terrestrial ecological systems, at the global level and also including detailed field studies, at a regional scale, in Mediterranean terrestrial ecosystems, forest systems and plant-animal interactions.

Apart from conducting fundamental research, the group also actively participates in the preparation of the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, AR6/AR7), specifically in the study of the points of no return of global ecosystems and their relationship with climate change (Working Group I, WGI, Chapter 8).
