CREAF collaborates with EADA Business School on the new international double degree EADA–SKEMA: Global BBA & Bachelor in Sustainability for Business, a programme that combines business management training with a solid foundation in environmental sciences and sustainability applied to the business world.

Within this collaboration, CREAF contributes teaching staff and scientific expertise to the programme’s sustainability track, strengthening academic rigour and ensuring a direct connection with cutting-edge research in ecology, global change and ecosocial transitions.

The four-year programme offers a global learning experience with mandatory international mobility and on-site, hybrid and online teaching. Students can complete part of their studies at one of SKEMA’s eight international campuses across five continents, including Barcelona, France, Brazil, Dubai and China, among others.

Collaborating with CREAF provides students with the scientific tools necessary to understand the interconnections between business, society and the natural environment, anticipate climate, environmental and social risks, and promote business models with a positive impact that value the opportunities associated with the energy transition, biodiversity and global change.

Science to understand the limits of the planet and transform the company

The sustainability itinerary of the double degree is focused on environmental and social sciences , with the aim of training future professionals to understand the interdependencies between business, nature and society, and to be able to lead transformation processes towards more just and resilient models.

In this context, a team of CREAF researchers will be responsible for teaching several key subjects in the ecological field, including:

  • Functioning of natural ecosystems
  • Global environmental change
  • Mitigation, adaptation and energy transition
  • Conservation of natural resources
  • Management, conservation and restoration of biodiversity
  • Circular economy and eco-innovation
  • Bioeconomy and planetary boundaries
  • Urban sustainability

These subjects provide students with a solid scientific foundation on the functioning of the Earth system, climate and environmental risks, and the challenges associated with biodiversity loss, resource use, and the transition to sustainable economies.

Training for social and environmental impact

The program also includes content on governance, public policies, social movements, circular economy and social transitions, as well as between 8 and 12 months of professional experience or internships , reinforcing the applied approach and oriented towards real impact.

This collaboration with EADA is part of CREAF's strategy of transferring scientific knowledge to society and the economic fabric, and of contributing to the training of new professional profiles capable of integrating sustainability and the limits of the planet into business decision-making.
