Ji Liu

My name is Liu Ji, and I am from China. I obtained my PhD in Ecology from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am deeply interested in enhancing nutrient use efficiency in ecosystems and promoting long-term nutrient storage in soils by regulating the balance of ecological stoichiometry, with the goal of contributing to global sustainability, particularly for human development. 

To achieve this, I use long-term field experiments, meta-analyses, model simulations, and global integration and validation. In 2025, with the support of the Marie Curie program, I came to Spain to conduct research at CREAF, part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). 

Currently, I am working at CREAF with Prof. Dr. Josep Peñuelas on global nutrient sustainability research. I very much look forward to collaborating and exchanging ideas with all of you (liuji17@mails.ucas.ac.cn).
