Eleni Demosthenous Bonastre
I graduated in Genetics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and have a Master's degree in Biodiversity, with a specialization in biodiversity conservation, from the University of Barcelona. I am currently a research support technician for the Ecofonts project, an initiative that studies the changes experienced by the plant communities of springs and the chemistry of their waters in the Catalan territory.
The research developed in this project contributes to improving the knowledge and conservation of spring ecosystems, habitats of great ecological value and especially vulnerable to the effects of global change. In addition, the project includes outreach activities aimed at primary and secondary schools, with the aim of fostering environmental awareness and respect for these ecosystems among new generations.
In my free time I like to go on high mountain routes and hiking.
