Where to find CREAF at COP30
Throughout the COP30 in Belém (Brazil) global process, CREAF will advocate for stronger integration of climate and nature, contributing rigorous scientific evidence to forums that bring together climate action, biodiversity restoration, and sustainable development.
CREAF has actively participated in key pre-COP30 events, as SB 62 Bonn Climate Change Conference held in June 2025, to help shape global discussions and ensure that local priorities inform climate finance decisions.
We will take part and contribute to several events alongside our partners:
17/11/2025 - Science-policy for biodiversity & climate: experiences from Europe, Latin America & Africa. Official UNFCCC Side Event. Co-organized by AWI & CREAF, Anna de las Heras Carles will take part as a speaker.
17/11/2025 - Science-policy interface for integrating biodiversity and climate: reflections from the RESPIN project. Colombia Pavilion event. Organizes the Instituto Humboldt. From CREAF, Alicia Pérez-Porro is invited as a speaker.
17/11/2025 - The Mediterranean Climate Hotspot: mechanisms to advance climate change mitigation from science and practice. Spain pavilion. Organized by the Spanish government, Alicia Pérez-Porro moderates the event.
18/11/2025 - The Nexus of Nature and Energy – Interlinking Biodiversity and Clean Energy Solutions. Organized by the International Youth Nuclear Congress, Anna de las Heras Carles has been invited as a speaker.
18/11/2025 - Innovative Approaches to Driving Climate Action: Subnational Leadership & Bioregional Collaboration in Climate Adaptation and Resilience. Official UNFCCC Side Event. Organizes the Mediterranean Climate Action Partnership (MCAP). Alicia Pérez-Porro will take part as a speaker.
