The Forest Alert project collects observations from citizens (of drought, processionary moth, boxwood caterpillar and damage from meteorological phenomena such as winds and snowfall) to analyze the current health of forests and improve the prediction of how they will evolve in the future in the face of climate change.
The objective of AlertaForestal is to analyze the current state of health of the forests of Catalonia and predict, through simulation models, what the state of health of these forests will be in the future, taking into account climate change and other environmental changes that are occurring on a global and local scale.
