This is indicated by international scientific studies that predict significant temperature increases and precipitation decreases in this area throughout the 21st century. What implications might a more arid future have for the territory? What will be the response of natural, agricultural, and urban ecosystems? How does the land use pattern affect the pressure on resources such as water? Trying to answer these questions is the main objective of the ACCUA (Climate Change Adaptations in Water Use) project, which has identified the vulnerabilities to global change in three Mediterranean river basins and is working to offer adaptation proposals.
