Teresa Rosas
Trained as a researcher, I lead the Academic Talent and Gender Office at CREAF. My work focuses on nurturing a kinder research culture and supporting researcher’s development.
I hold a PhD in Ecology (2016, UAB), a Master’s degree in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management (2012, UAB), and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (2011, UB). In my doctoral thesis, I explored how forests respond to environmental change, with a particular focus on the impact of drought in the context of climate change. I am also a certified coach by the International Coaching Federation (ICF, 2024).
At CREAF, I currently lead initiatives on research culture, research assessment, researcher development and careers, talent attraction and retention, and quality academic supervision. I am driven by the idea of building a fairer and more welcoming research system, where everyone has equal opportunities and where equity, diversity, and inclusion are central values.
In teaching, I have delivered seminars in the official Master’s in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity at UAB, and since 2023 I have been a lecturer in the Master’s in Health and Research Management at UAB.
I strongly believe that art and culture help us face moral hardship, I always make room for dessert, and I am mum of one.
