Postdoctoral researcher

Marc Riera Domínguez

Specialist in invasion ecology, researcher in the EXOCAT project.

Biologist by the University of Barcelona (2015), Master in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2019), and Doctor in Terrestrial Ecology by the UAB (2024).

My research focuses on biological invasions, using non-native species to test hypotheses about which human and biological factors influence their invasion success and their environmental niche. In addition to invasion ecology, I am also interested in botany, bryophytes and paleontology. Time permitting, I also like to write and spread the word.
