Integrating Successful Co-Management Experiences in the Forest Sector

This webinar will focus on successful experiences of co-management in the forest sector, highlighting approaches that have worked in different regions. The objective is to share practical examples and lessons learned that can inspire collaborative forest governance and management.

Speakers will present short case studies, including experiences from Austria, Spain, Slovenia and UK illustrating how co-management and governance models can support sustainable forest management. Particular attention will be given to strategies for mobilizing forest owners and stakeholders to actively participate in the management of forest areas and protected parks.

The session will be held in english on Thursday, October 22 at 10:30 AM CEST and will last 1,5 hours, until 12:00 PM, including several short presentations, followed by a brief exchange with participants.

  • Slovenia: Integrated approaches to forest planning and governance: The case of the Golovets Forest in Ljubljana with Jurij Kobe from City of Ljubljana and Slovenia Forest Service.
