The CSIC researcher and research professor at CREAF Josep Peñuelas has been distinguished with the Margarita Salas Medal for the best career in supervision of research personnel, a prestigious recognition that rewards the direction of doctoral theses and the training of young scientists.

The award to Josep Peñuelas values his extensive and successful capacity for supervision, as well as the professional achievements of the people he has supervised . Throughout his career, Peñuelas has supervised 64 doctoral theses, supervised 51 master's theses and accompanied 64 postdoctoral researchers, consolidating an exceptional trajectory in the training of scientific talent.
