Gui Dias Pereira
My name is Gui Dias (they/them/he/his) and I’m from Brazil. I graduated in Environmental Management at the University of São Paulo. I completed my master’s degree at the same university, in the Social Change and Political Participation program, within the research line of Socio-environmental Dimensions, Heritage, and Territorial Policies. In my dissertation, I analyzed municipal environmental management instruments and their applicability to socio-environmentally vulnerable municipalities in a mountain region. During the research, I discovered that most environmental management instruments are lacking, and even when they exist, they do not focus on reducing historically produced vulnerabilities. Now, in my PhD at CREAF, I am going to work on the perception of socio-environmental vulnerabilities in different regions of the Pyrenees. My thesis project is part of the LIFE-SIP PYRENEES4CLIMA Project, and I will be a member of Bernat Claramunt’s team.
