I hold a degree in Philosophy (UdG) and a Master's degree in Archival Science and Information Governance (UAB). As a data steward at CREAF, I am responsible for managing the data produced by research groups. My work covers the entire data lifecycle, from data collection and capture to processing and analysis, as well as the final stages of preservation, publication, and information sharing.

This involves ensuring that data are collected and organized consistently from the outset. For example, I help establish orderly folder structures and standardized file naming conventions so that any team member can quickly and unambiguously locate the information they need. I also promote the use of open, non-proprietary formats that ensure data remain accessible and reusable over time. In addition, I work to ensure that data are shared responsibly, taking into account any legal, ethical, or confidentiality requirements that may apply in each case.

The outcome of my work is data that are available, accessible, complete, accurate, traceable, and consistent, in other words, high-quality data. This not only facilitates the day-to-day work of research teams, but also contributes to making science more transparent, accessible, and reusable. When information is well organized, it is easier to find, understand, and share with other researchers. In this way, knowledge generated through research is preserved, the loss of information and duplication of effort are avoided, and the value and impact of research are enhanced.
