ClimaGov project's general objective is to promote innovation in governance for the promotion of resilient landscapes to the impacts of climate change.
ClimaGov is developed in Terres de l’Ebre, in collaboration with Eurecat and within the framework of the Amposta Climate Resilience Center, in order to be able to act locally and develop innovative approaches to governance, consolidated in theoretical terms but still poorly established in the real world.
Terres de l’Ebre is zone 0 of the impacts of climate change in Catalonia, which affects the local socioeconomic fabric and endangers one of the most valuable natural environments that we have in the country. Based on the pilot experience of the living laboratory promoted by the Life eCOadapt50 project, an adaptation strategy will be designed for Terres de l’Ebre sector that can capitalize on all available knowledge and promote an innovation process in decision-making to face the challenges of global change.
In addition, ClimaGov will provide opportunities for new collaborations with a wide range of relevant entities for networking and will promote excellent and collaborative scientific research promoted from Catalonia, while improving the international visibility of the activities developed, especially in the Mediterranean area.
