I studied Biology at the University of Valencia and spent the last year of my degree at the University of Sheffield. After graduating in 2020, I completed a Master's degree in Ecology, Management and Restoration of the Natural Environment at the University of Barcelona. I did my Master's thesis at CREAF on the evolution of the climatic niche in birds and their potential adaptation to climate change. The following year, I was awarded a JAE scholarship at the Doñana Biological Station, where I modelled changes in the population dynamics of sub-Saharan ungulates due to global change. Subsequently, I completed an inter-university master's degree (UAB, UB, ICP) in Palaeobiology and Fossil Records. In this case, my master's thesis focused on inferring the locomotion of Eocene primates using geometric morphometrics.
I am currently doing my PhD at CREAF, under the supervision of researchers Sandra Nogué and Ferran Sayol. We are studying the effect of anthropogenic extinctions and the introduction of new species on island ecosystems around the world during the Holocene, with the aim of understanding their current status and improving biodiversity conservation in these regions.
