CREAF is seeking for a technician to work in the wildE project (Climate-smart rewilding: ecological restoration for climate change mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity support in Europe), Grant Agreement nr. 101081251 funded by the European Commission. WildE's goal is to develop the knowledge needed for a "climately intelligent renaturalisation" in Europe, as a solution based on nature that stimulates the natural capacity of European ecosystems for climate change mitigation, adaptation and support for biodiversity.
A full-time contract is offered (37.5h per week), with a planned incorporation in mid of May 2023 with an initial duration of 24 month, with possibility of extending it if required. The salary offered is €19,367.86 annually.
TASKS:
- Assistance in the coordination of the activities of the CREAF team in the wildE project.- Collaboration in the process of stakeholder’s engagement.- Carrying out the review of technical and scientific literature and metanalysis.- Collaboration in conducting field work related with the project objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Agronomy or Forestry.- GIS and Remote Sensing skills (at least intermediate level).- Programing in R (at least intermediate level).- Skills and knowledge of software for carrying out scientific literature reviews and metanalyses.- Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English.
ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS:
- Master in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology or similar.- Experience in working and curing large datasets.- Contrasted capacity to team up with other technicians and researchers.- Collaboration in the writing of technical reports or scientific publications.
