CREAF

CREAF is seeking for a technician to work in the wildE project (Climate-smart rewilding: ecological restoration for climate change mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity support in Europe), Grant Agreement nr. 101081251 funded by the European Commission. WildE's goal is to develop the knowledge needed for a "climately intelligent renaturalisation" in Europe, as a solution based on nature that stimulates the natural capacity of European ecosystems for climate change mitigation, adaptation and support for biodiversity.

A full-time contract is offered (37.5h per week), with a planned incorporation in mid of May 2023 with an initial duration of 24 month, with possibility of extending it if required. The salary offered is €19,367.86 annually.

TASKS:

- Assistance in the coordination of the activities of the CREAF team in the wildE project.
- Collaboration in the process of stakeholder’s engagement.
- Carrying out the review of technical and scientific literature and metanalysis.
- Collaboration in conducting field work related with the project objectives.

 REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Agronomy or Forestry.
- GIS and Remote Sensing skills (at least intermediate level).
- Programing in R (at least intermediate level).
- Skills and knowledge of software for carrying out scientific literature reviews and metanalyses.
- Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English.

ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS:

- Master in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology or similar.
- Experience in working and curing large datasets.
- Contrasted capacity to team up with other technicians and researchers.
- Collaboration in the writing of technical reports or scientific publications.

SELECTION PROCES AND CRITERIA:

1. 2. Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria.
