CREAF is seeking for a technician to work in the DigiMedFor project (Digital tools and technology systems for the sustainable management of Mediterranean forest resources), with ref. 1011081928 – DIGIMEDFOR – HORIZON-CL6-2022-CIRCBIO- 02-two-stage and funded by the European Commission. DigiMedFor's goal is to employ advanced and innovative digital solutions to improve the monitoring and management of forest resources along the supply chain from their origin up to the wood industry, optimizing both the sustainability of wood production and traceability and delivery of ecosystem services.
A full-time contract is offered (37.5h per week), with a planned incorporation in July 2023 with an initial duration of 36 months, with possibility of extending it if required. The salary offered is €34,040.48 annually.
TASKS:
- Assistance in the coordination of the activities of the CREAF team in the DigiMedFor project.- Carrying out the review of technical and scientific literature and metanalysis.- Carrying out the process of stakeholder’s engagement.- Carrying out the running and optimizing models related with the project objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Agronomy or Forestry.- Master’s in Environmental Economics, Sustainable Development or similar.- Experience in ecosystem goods and/or services management, valorization, or administration.- Skills and knowledge of software for carrying out scientific literature reviews and metanalyses.- Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English.
ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS:
- Experience in entrepreneurship and/or knowledge and technology transference.- Contrasted capacity to team up with other technicians and researchers.- Collaboration in the writing of technical reports or scientific publications.- Programing in R (at least intermediate level).
