RESEARCH SUPPORT LABORATORY TECHNICIAN WITHIN A RAMÓN Y CAJAL GRANT

CREAF is seeking for a laboratory technician to work on a project investigating the effect of the elemental composition of organisms on their functioning.
The Project belongs to a Ramón y Cajal contract with reference ref. RYC2021-031511-I funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, the NextGeneration funding of the European Union, the Plan de recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia and the Agencia Estatal de Investigación.
A part-time contract is offered (60%, 22,5h week), starting on April 1st, 2023 and the estimated duration of the contract will be at least 12 months. The salary offered is 944,77€ gross per month.

TASKS:

- Collection and determination of bryophytes.
- Maintain moss growth tanks.
- Cleaning and crushing plant samples.
- Microbalance weighing and acid digestion of crushed samples.
- Provide final clean data.
- Running and maintaining moss experiments.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Environmental Biology, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in the field of bryology.
- Experience in determining moss samples.
- Catalan, English and Spanish spoken and written correctly.

ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS:

- Ability to work in a team.
- Oral communication skills.
- Experience in serving microbalance and acid digestion.
- Priority will be given to candidates with a recognized and accredited disability equal to or greater than 33%, provided that the disability is compatible with the appropriate performance of the post.

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA

1.
