William Anderegg received his bachelors and Ph.D. from Stanford University (USA) and was a NOAA Climate & Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University (USA). He is the Director of the Wilkes Center for Climate Science and Policy and an Associate Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Utah (USA). His field of research focuses on exploring the climate risks experienced by forests today, among others. His most recent scientific work quantifies the climate risks facing forests in the face of global warming, to help define nature-based climate solutions.
