Lecturer at the Central University of Venezuela and researcher at the Institute of Zoology and Tropical Ecology of the same university, with a degree in Biology and a PhD in Sciences, mention in ecology. His field of research focuses in evaluating the impacts of anthropic activities on biogeochemical cycles, especially in tropical ecosystems such as savannas. He is also a consultant in numerous baseline studies, monitoring and evaluation of environmental impact, among which the United Nations Development Program stands out. His research has been published in more than 50 refereed journals such as Chemosphere, Soil Science, Biology and Fertility of Soils, Bioagro and several book chapters.
