CREAF's participation in the EU Green Week partner events

We are pleased to participate in three partner events scheduled for the European Green Week 2023, which will be held between June 3 and 11, 2023. One of them is an hybrid event in Barcelona of the Mission4Nature, a brand new project of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, that will include a guided visit organized by CREAF and included in the European Maritime Day 2023. And the other two ones are a direct invitation from our partners AMWAJ Alliance and the Association of Forest Owners of Eastern Andalusia (FORET). They are scheduled as follows:

Tuesday 6th June, 2023

CREAF researcher Annelies Broekman intervenes as a speaker in the workshop 'The power of communication, an indispensable skill for generating impact', organized by AMWAJ Alliance and focused on drought in the Mediterranean area. A representative of MedWaves will also be part of the programm, as well as Chantal Mennard from AMWAJ's Advisory board.

Wednesday 7th to Friday 9th June, 2023

Hybrid event in Barcelona of the Mission4Nature, a new project of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme in which CREAF researcher Annelies Broekman takes part. The project connects scientific and technical knowledge as a lever for change to implement policy measures to protect the Mediterranean from the climate crisis.

CREAF science technician Diana Pascual Sánchez takes part as a speaker in the roundtable Forest Communities, Resilient Land Stewardship Entities, organized by the Association of Forest Owners of Eastern Andalusia (FORET), together with representatives from Fundación Biodiversidad, among others, to share best practices and experiencies about forest management, forest resilience, green public procurement, green infrastructure, ecosystem services and nature-based solutions.The roundtable can be followed live by clicking here.

CREAF researcher Annelies Broekman leds the field visit Maresme coastal area: coastal erosion case study. The Interreg Euro-MED Mission4Nature visits Maresme County in Catalonia to exchange knowledge on facing the challenge of coastal erosion. Learning from this experience, participants will be introduced to the proposed solutions to re-shape the overexploited coastline. This event is included in the European Maritime Day.
