I am now studying Terrestrial Ecology in the Autonomous University of Barcelona as a PhD student (UAB-CSC). My main research topic is the ecology of VOCs emissions in the soil, and their biological and environmental effects. I am particularly interested in the responses of VOCs from forest soils to global change (drought and enhanced N) and I also study changes in root exudate profiles, due to environmental change, in the field. This work highlights how forests will respond to a changing world through the variation of VOCs and root exudates.
