CREAF is seeking for a technician researcher for developing the CREAF contribution mainly to the CITIOBS project (“Enhancing Citizen Observatories for healthy, sustainable, resilient and inclusive cities”), with ref. HORIZON-CL6-2022-GOVERNANCE-01-08-101086421, as well as the AD4GD project (“All Data 4 Green Deal - An Integrated, FAIR Approach for the Common European Data Space”), with ref. HORIZON-CL6-2021-GOVERNANCE-01-17-101061001 both from the Horizon Europe program and financed by the European Union.
A full-time contract is offered, with incorporation foreseen in January 2023 and for the duration of the longest project (4 years). The salary offered is 24.048,78€ gross per year.
The CITIOBS project develops several aspects of citizen science, including social science, sensors and data architectures and data management. CREAF role focuses mainly in the data management, protocols and interoperability. In the AD4GD project several kinds of data should be included in the green deal data space. CREAF role focuses on in-situ and citizen science data as well as the development of a use case about biodiversity corridors in the Barcelona metropolitan area. Based on CREAF roles on these two projects candidates will perform some of the following tasks:
- Develop tools, technologies, APIs and data services for citizen science.- Develop demonstrators of standard web technologies in support of the project needs and in continuation of the group legacy.- Interconnection and documentation of in-situ and citizen science data for the Green Deal Data Space.- Located and organize data useful for the use cases in the projects.- Contribute to the impact creation, Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation.- Work on new OGC standards and documents.- Maintain communication with the relevant project consortium and monitor the project evolution.- Writing scientific literature or produce materials/data supporting the writing process.- Elaborate the project deliverables assigned to CREAF.- Contribute to the integration of EU funded projects results in the MiraMon software (desktop, mobile and web) as a mechanism to elevate the TRL of solutions.- Contribute to the promotion Grumets research group and to the use of the MiraMon software (desktop, mobile and web).
- Bachelor degree in Environmental, Biological Sciences, Geography, Informatics, Physics or similar.- Geospatial Information System skills.- Previous experience in data management.- Good level of English, written and spoken.- Availability for traveling abroad to meetings and workshops.
SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA:
