CREAF

The CREAF needs to recruit in a brief time a field technician at Albera (Girona), for the ALBERAPASTUR project. The technician will participate in the data gathering for the management of pastures and in surveys to the farmers of the zone. The contract will begin in early August, and will last for a month.

TASKS

1. Making of forest inventory parcels.
2. Assessment of the impact of cattle on vegetation.
3. Making surveys to farmers. 
4. Design of alternatives for pasture management.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Experience in forest inventories.
2. Knowledge of livestock.
3. Possibility of working at weekends.
4. Knowledge of intensive pasture management systems.

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
The process selection will be conducted by the research team of the project, and will be supervised by Management and Human Resources team in CREAF. This process will consist in:

1. Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a résumé, a cover letter (maximum 500 words) and the questionnaire attached to the offer, by e-mail to laboral@creaf.uab.cat, until July 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications referred to another portal, other than CREAF job openings section and the instructions included in this, will not be accepted.
2. Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria.
4. Final decision: in case of finding the right person, the election will be formally communicated to him/her, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section.
