The CREAF Project Management Office is seeking for a technician, specialized in project management (both administrative and financial), to join the HORIZON EUROPE project “AD4GD”, Grant Agreement nr. 101061001, and the LIFE project LIFE22-CET-EBP reinforcement, Grant Agreement nr. 101104367, both funded by the European Commission. The contract will be full-time (37,5 hours per week) and is expected to start in September. The contract is expected to last until the end of the project, 31/12/2026, with continuity possibilities due to the exponential growth of the center. The salary will be between 27,892.51€ and 30,797.97€ gross per year, according to knowledge and experience provided. CREAF is seeking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on the FUNBOSC project (design and launch a network to monitor the functioning of Catalan forests, including continuous measurements of carbon and water flows in tree stems) and funded by the Departament d'Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural de la Generalitat de Catalunya. The candidate will join a large research team of >20 people working on the effects of environmental changes on vegetation dynamics at scales that range from the individual plant to the region and the globe. A part-time contract is offered (28h per week), with planned incorporation in June 2023, with a duration of 6 month. The salary offered is €1,972 gross per month.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un auxiliar tècnic o una auxiliar tècnica de dades, per a treballar dins d’un projecte que estudia les conseqüències ecològiques de les extincions d’ocells. El projecte forma part d’un ajut Junior Leader Incoming, ref. LCF/BQ/PI23/128444, finançat per la Fundació Bancària “La Caixa” i cofinançat pel programa d’investigació i innovació Horizon 2020 de la Unión Europea, d’acord amb el Grant Agreement nº 847648 del programa Marie Skłodowska-Curie. S’ofereix un contracte de jornada completa, amb previsió d’incorporació a principis de juny i que serà d’aproximadament de sis mesos de durada amb possibilitat d’extensió si el pressupost ho permet. El salari ofert és de 1.506,39€ bruts mensuals.

Proyectos de Transición Ecológica y Transición Digital 2021, financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN). Se ofrece un contrato a jornada completa (37,5h semanales), para empezar en la fecha de inicio del proyecto, el 1 de junio de 2023, hasta como mínimo 31/05/2024. Se ofrece un salario de 28.171,43€ brutos anuales.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un tècnic o una tècnica de comunicació, per donar suport EN TASQUES DE DISSENY I MAQUETACIÓ al Departament de Comunicació del CREAF i de l’Observatori del Patrimoni Natural i la Conservació finançat pel Departament d'Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural i en altres encàrrecs relacionats amb la comunicació de projectes de ciència i medi ambient. Aquesta persona entrarà a formar part de l’equip de Comunicació del CREAF i treballarà en coordinació amb les persones responsables dels projectes. L’Observatori del Patrimoni Natural i la Biodiversitat és l’ens de referència responsable de millorar com s’organitza, s’integra, tracta i difon la informació sobre el patrimoni natural de Catalunya. El seu objectiu és impulsar iniciatives de millora del coneixement i d’avaluació de l’estat del patrimoni natural, identificar, recopilar, processar i integrar la informació existent sobre l’estat de la biodiversitat i transferir la informació recopilada cap als i les agents que gestionen el medi natural i cap a la societat en general. S’ofereix un contracte de sis mesos, el primer mes a jornada parcial (50% de la jornada, 18,75h/setmanals), i a partir del següent a jornada completa (37,5h/setmanals) amb previsió d’inici a mitjans de maig o principis de juny de 2023 un cop finalitzat el procés de selecció, i vinculat al pressupost dels projectes descrits anteriorment. S’ofereix un salari de 1.162,18€ bruts mensuals (jornada parcial), 2.324,38€ bruts mensuals (jornada completa). S'ofereix contracte laboral en una entitat consolidada i en procés de creixement. CREAF is seeking for a technician to work in the wildE project (Climate-smart rewilding: ecological restoration for climate change mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity support in Europe), Grant Agreement nr. 101081251 funded by the European Commission. WildE's goal is to develop the knowledge needed for a "climately intelligent renaturalisation" in Europe, as a solution based on nature that stimulates the natural capacity of European ecosystems for climate change mitigation, adaptation and support for biodiversity. A full-time contract is offered (37.5h per week), with a planned incorporation in mid of May 2023 with an initial duration of 24 month, with possibility of extending it if required. The salary offered is €19,367.86 annually.
CREAF is seeking for a postdoctoral researcher for the STOIKOS project (Elemental ecology: towards an element-based functional ecology), with ref. 101076740 — STOIKOS — ERC-2022-STG, funded by the European Research Council, under the powers delegated by the European Commission. The project aims to investigate whether the elemental composition of organisms relates to ecosystem functioning, and whether ecosystem elemental diversity predicts ecosystem functioning better than traditional metrics of diversity. The candidate will join the Elemental Diversity and Macroecology research team ( https://elemdiv.netlify.app/ ), a multidisciplinary working team using observations, experiments and theoretical modelling to answer our scientific questions. The candidate will benefit from the training and career development opportunities offered through our research team and CREAF, exposure to international research and interaction with other national and international collaborators. A full-time contract is offered (37,5 hours per week), with a planned incorporation on June 1st, 2023, for 26 months. The gross salary offered is €34,392.69annually.
CREAF is seeking a research technician for developing DATACUBES and related technologies including OpenEO, Digital twins and Data Spaces as the CREAF contributions to AD4GD project (“All Data 4 Green Deal - An Integrated, FAIR Approach for the Common European Data Space”), with ref. HORIZON-CL6-2021-GOVERNANCE-01-17-101061001 and OEMC (Open-Earth-Monitor - A cyberinfrastructure to accelerate uptake of environmental information and help build user communities at European and global levels) with ref. HORIZON-CL6-2021-101059548 projects, both from the Horizon Europe program and financed by the European Union or future projects in the same topics. A part-time contract (30 hours/week, 80%) is offered, with a planned incorporation in May 2023 and will have a and will be a contract linked to the budget of the projects described above (“actividades cientifico-técnicas”, according to the Law 14/2011), with an expected duration of 2 years, and the possibility of extension if the budget allows it. The salary offered is 21987,45€ gross per year.
