BiodIBErsity Day 2024

dimecres, maig 22, 2024

Amidst the biodiversity crisis of our planet, biologists are compelled to establish synergies to document and explain the beauty and significance of biological diversity, to highlight the dramatic implications of its decay, and to propose global and local guidelines for its preservation and restoration.

In line with this spirit, the Biodiversity program at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology coordially invites you to the BiodIBErsity day, scheduled for May 22nd in Barcelona, at the CMIMA building. Esteemed evolutionary biologists and ecologists from national and international institutions will present their pioneering research, including Rosa Fernández (IBE), Isabel Almudi (IRBio-UB), Michael Nachman (Berkeley University), Daniel Sol (IBE and CREAF), Emma Cebrián (CEAB), David Nogués-Bravo (University of Copenhagen), Roger Vila (IBE), Macarena Toll-Riera (ETH Zurich) and Ludovic Orlando (CNRS).

The BiodIBErsity day will be enlived with informal coffe and lunch breaks, as well as concluding cocktail reception, all complementing the poster sessions that will surely catalyze fruitful discussions.

Attendance and poster applications are free, but registration required before the 10th May
