To explore the potential of urban forests for greener, healthier, and more sustainable cities, Uforest invites you to the hybrid event “Urban forests between challenges and opportunities”. Organised by Uforest’ partners Politecnico di Milano and ERSAF, the event will present the Uforest project and its international Alliance on Urban Forestry. At the same time, this event will discuss the potential of urban forests as innovative and effective nature-based solutions for many environmental, social, and economic challenges.

Finally, with the participation of international experts from the Uforest partnership, we will explore new challenges and opportunities in the urban forestry sector. Among them, keynote speaker Nadina Galle from Green City Watch will talk about the use of technology to manage and develop urban forests. Representing two partners of the project, Joan Pino from UAB & CREAF and Florencia Florido from CREAF will present "Innovation in Urban Forestry: a pathway to maximising the benefits of urban forests." On this presentation, they will explore the challenges and innovative best practices that can lead to successful, 21st Century urban forests.
