CREAF is a public center for research in terrestrial ecology, global change and the analysis of the territory, that pursues excellence in knowledge generation and transfer, methodology development, innovation, training and dissemination. Our center has more than 160 scientific, technical and administrative staff from different countries, working together for the progress of an environmental research of excellence.

CREAF is seeking to appoint a data scientist to work in the Ecosystem Modelling Facility (EMF), to work full-time in the context of a SEVERO OCHOA award (2018 SEVERO OCHOA Excellence Centers, ref. CEX2018-000828-S, from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación). The EMF aims at coordinating modelling work and data infrastructures at CREAF, providing support to CREAF’s research groups on model development and application, as well as developing and leading large-scale modelling projects on ecosystem dynamics in response to global change drivers. This contract is scheduled to start in early January 2021, and will have a duration of 3 years. The salary offered is 25.802,00 € gross per year.
CREAF is seeking for a Transfer Officer to work full-time on the SEVERO OCHOA program (2018 SEVERO OCHOA Excellence centers, ref. CEX2018-000828-S, from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación). This contract is envisaged to start in October 2020, and it will end on December 2023. A Transfer Officer is wanted to create the new Department on Knowledge Transfer Service; consolidate, enhance and promote the transfer of knowledge, products and tools of the center guide researchers on knowledge management and protection (IPR); enhance participation in national and international knowledge transfer activities with public administrations and private companies.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un investigador o una investigadora postdoctoral, en el marco del proyecto NEWFORLAND (New Iberian Forests: ecological role and potential vulnerability under climate change), ref. RTI2018-099397-B-C22, financiado por MCIU/AEI/FEDER, UE. El contrato está previsto que se inicie con fecha 1 de enero de 2021.
CREAF is seeking for a technician, specialized in project management (both administrative and financial), in the context SEVERO OCHOA award (2018 SEVERO OCHOA Excellence Centers, ref. CEX2018-000828-S, from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación). The contract will be full-time (37.5 h per week), and is expected to start during the month of November/December 2020 and will last until the end of the project (December, 14th of 2023). The salary range offered is between 25.546,53 and 30.000 € gross/per year according to aptitude and experience provided by the person.
CREAF is seeking for an infrastructure coordinator, to work full-time on the SEVERO OCHOA program (2018 SEVERO OCHOA Excellence Centers, ref. CEX2018-000828-S, from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación).This contract is envisaged to start in November 2020, and it will end in December 2023. The salary offered is 28.207,63 € gross per year.
CREAF is seeking for a research technician, to work full-time on the LIFE19 CCM/ES/001199 LIFE NIEBLAS project (“Reforestation & Climate Change Mitigation: tests, evaluation and transfer of innovative methods based on fog collection”), financed by the European Union and for the PEDRERES, with ref.90003, on abandoned extractive activities in Catalonia, financed by Departament de Territori i Sostenibilitat of Generalitat de Catalunya. This contract is envisaged to start in October 2020.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un tècnic o una tècnica de suport de laboratori i camp, per treballar simultàniament als projectes WILD i GRUP D’ESTUDI POL·LINITZADORS, analitzant nius d’abelles solitàries, i quantificant les poblacions d’Òsmia obtingudes en operacions de pol·linització en camps de fruiters. El contracte serà a temps complet, i s’iniciarà a principis d’octubre de 2020, amb una durada prevista de quatre mesos.
CREAF is seeking for two field technicians, for the LIFE project “Innovative Forest Management Strategies to Enhance Biodiversity in Mediterranean Forests. Incentives & Management Tools” (LIFE17 BIORGEST NAT/ES/000568) and for the SISEBIO project (“Biodiversity Monitoring Global Program of Catalonia”). The contracts are full time for three months, from September to November 2020.
CREAF (the Centre thereafter) is seeking for three Postdoctorate Researchers to work full-time on the SEVERO OCHOA program (2018 SEVERO OCHOA Excellence Centers, ref. CEX2018-000828-S, from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación). This contract is envisaged to start in November 2020, and it will end on November 2023. Positions will have a total contract duration of three years and the salary offered is 29.027,25 € gross per year. CREAF will negotiate the installation and formalize the hiring of the selected candidates within the period indicated in the call. The selected people will be the subject of a career development plan within the Severo Ochoa project to facilitate their eventual stabilization at CREAF or other centers of the Catalan research system.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un investigador o una investigadora per al projecte ELEMENTAL-SHIFT (Impactes dels canvis globals antropogènics en les reserves i fluxos de bioelements sobre els ecosistemes i els humans), ref. PID2019-110521GB-I00, finançat pel Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación. El contracte serà a jornada completa (37,5h/setmanals), i s'espera que comenci l'1 de setembre de 2020, amb durada fins a fi de les tasques en el projecte indicat.
