FIELD TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT

CREAF is seeking for a field technician assistant to work within a project that studies the lizard populations of the Pitiüses.
The project is part of a Junior Leader Incoming grant, ref. LCF/BQ/PI20/11760007, funded by the Fundació Bancària “La Caixa” and co-financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, in accordance with Grant Agreement Number 847648 of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie program.
A full-time contract is offered, with a planned incorporation in mid-March and will last approximately five months. The salary offered is 1,343.85 gross per month.

TASKS
- Sampling in lizard populations of the Pitiüses.
- Carry out animal behavior tests in the field.
- Participate in experimental design tasks.
- Carry out data analysis and presentation of results.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with training in Ecology (Environmental Biology or Environmental Sciences).
- Accredited experience in field work, ideally having worked with wild or captive animals. Having worked with reptiles will be considered a plus.
- Good level of accredited English, oral and written.
- Ability to work in a team in a constructive way, in an environment of respect for diversity.
- Availability to carry out fieldwork in Ibiza for weeks (expenses covered by the project).
- Type B driving license.

ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS
- Participation in scientific and/or popular publications.
- Interest in evolutionary ecology and study of animal behaviour.
- Interest in scientific dissemination.
- Knowledge of the natural environment.

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
1.
