I am currently CREAF researcher and assistant professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

I did my PhD in CREAF-UAB (Center for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications) (with approval at European level) studying the functional strategies of different species of Mediterranean plants in relation to their post-fire regeneration strategy. I have done research in different universities in the United States, France and Québec.

My research focuses on studying the effects of disturbance on species and plant communities, either as species or community. More specifically I focus on the effects and relationships between fire and/or drought in functional traits or community dynamics of Mediterranean plant species and communities (shrublands and forests).

Another focus is conservation biology, and I collaborate with managers of natural areas with the objective of improving the conservation of different threatened species of flora and fauna in Catalonia.
