I’m a biogeochemist interested in nutrient biogeochemical cycles in aquatic environments, sediment and soils. I'm particularly interested in plant-minerals-microorganisms interactions and how they contribute to elemental cycling, soil development, and water chemistry. I would like to learn more about the application of the soil ecological findings into soil quality assessment and soil and water management.

I graduated in Environmental Sciences from the Universitat de València (UV, 2012), and then took a Master´s degree in Soil and Water Management at the Universitat de Lleida (UdL, 2014). I obtained my PhD in Environmental Biogeochemistry from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2017. I was looking at the controls on microbial diversity and sediment biogeochemistry along the salinity gradient of a dynamic estuary.

I joined the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the CREAF in 2018 as a postdoc researcher and I am currently teaching in different modules related to soil science. Besides, I am getting involved in education projects and scientific outreach activities.
