B.Sc. in Forest Technical Engineering (Universidad de Valladolid, 2003). M.Sc. Forest Engineering (2007) and Ph.D. in Forest Sciences (2013) at the Universitat de Lleida. Postdoc (2013-2015) at the Centre for Forest Research of the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada). I am currently postdoctoral fellow (Juan de la Cierva fellowship) at CREAF and Associated Researcher at the Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia (CTFC-CEMFOR).

My research aims at improving our knowledge on the responses of the forests to environmental changes, and at assessing the role of forest management in the future dynamics of forest ecosystems.

My current work focuses on the study of the drivers of forest dynamics and species coexistence, with a particular focus on the regeneration and resilience of forests face to natural and anthropogenic disturbance events. I am also interested in the assessment of the spatial patterns, causes and consequences of forest expansion in mountain areas. Last, I try to understand how different management approaches can interact with the effects of climate change, and how these approaches are perceived by the different stakeholders in the forest sector.
