Services oriented to global change adaptation

Global change is a complex phenomenon which is changing our natural systems. In addition to climatic change, global change also includes changes in land use and landscape fragmentation, the increase in atmospheric CO2 concentrations and biological invasions, among others. Scientists work to uncover what will be the consequences these changes on ecosystems.

At CREAF we offer our knowledge for the management of natural spaces and resources in light of global change processes experienced on the planet. Among other services, we evaluate the capacity of forests to act as carbon sinks, we propose measures to reduce the impacts of climate change, and we study the cycles and availability of nutrients.
