PhD in Geography (Autonomous University of Barcelona, UAB), MSc in Computational Science (UAB) and BS in Physics (University of Barcelona, UB), I develop my research activity into Methods and Applications in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Research Group (GRUMETS) and CREAF. My main research interests are: spatial analysis, geostatistical analysis applied to remote sensing, radiometric correction methodologies for remote sensing images, interoperability and standardization for ICT tools into the GIS and water domain and geospatial parallel solutions in HPC environments.

I coordinated the H2020 WaterInnEU project and he is participating in EcoPotential H2020 project. I am professor at the Department of Geography (UAB) and at the Master in Remote Sensing and GIS (UAB). I am associate editor of the scientific journal GeoFocus and he has been member of prize committee Earth and Space Science Informatics of the European Geosciences Union and Advisory Board member of FREEWAT and WIDEST, two ended H2020 European projects in the Water&ICT domain.
Since 1999, I have been involved in several tasks of developing, analyzing, management and teaching of the MiraMon GIS&RS software project.
