Francisco Lloret is Ecology Professor at the Universitat Autònoma Barcelona (Spain) and researcher at the CREAF (Centre for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications, Spain).
His research interests focus on structure, functioning and dynamics of plant communities in relation to disturbances that often have an anthropogenic source, such as fire regime, climate change, land use transformations and exotic plant invasion. He has addressed most of his research to Mediterranean type-ecosystems and has worked in the Mediterranean Basin and North America (San Diego State University, University of Madison, University of Montana, Missoula and Instituto de Ecologia, UNAM, México).
