I taught Botany and Environmental Politics at Babes-Bolyai University (Romania), where I worked in various projects related to grasslands ecology. Since my incorporation in CREAF in 2005, I have focused on the study of landscape changes and its effects on biodiversity at European, local and regional levels. I coordinate the project of historical cartography in the province of Barcelona, used as a basic tool for the analysis and modelling of recent landscape changes and its relationships with biodiversity conservation in the region. In the field of invasion ecology, I coordinated the construction of databases of exotic species in European projects. My current research is focused on the assessment and analysis of ecosystem services across various scales.
