TAXUSNational ProjectsProject duration: Oct 2007 to Sep 2010In this project we characterized the genetic variability and structure of English yew (Taxus baccata L.)IntroductionIn this project we characterized the genetic variability and structure of English yew (Taxus baccata L.) both at the regional (Western Mediterranean Basin) and the landscape level. With this approach we evaluated (i) the contribution of historical, evolutionary and ecological factors to the present patterns of genetic diversity, and (ii) the interaction between demographic and genetic processes under different scenarios of landscape fragmentation.
