CREAF

CREAF needs to incorporate in a short time a technician profile to the project H2020 - ECOPotential (H2020-SC5-641762, funded by the European Union). The contract is expected to start in April 2018 to cover a sick leave, and will finish when the sick person returns to its position.

TASKS

Works with GIS data for protected areas to complete a map browser covering the ECOPotential protected areas based on row data provided in an ftp site (http://maps.ecopotential-project.eu). Managing communication and coordination with the rest of the WP4 (remote sensing tasks) project partners.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Degree on fields related to the required tasks.
2. Demonstrated GIS knowledge (e.g. Master in GIS, Geography degree)
3. Previous experience in dealing with biodiversity or climate geospatial data.
4. Written and spoken English.
5. Responsibility and initiative.

5. Previous experience in EU projects or similar

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
The selection process is led by the research project team, and will be overseen by the Management Office and the Human Resources Area of CREAF. This process consists of:

1. Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a résumé, a cover letter (maximum 500 words) and the questionnaire attached to the offer, by e-mail to laboral@creaf.uab.cat, until April 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications referred to another portal, other than CREAF job openings section and the instructions included in this, will not be accepted.
2. Preselection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria. Verbal interview by phone could be requested by CREAF.
4. Final decision: in case of finding the right person, the election will be formally communicated to him/her, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section.
