CREAF

CREAF is seeking for a field technician, to work full-time for 6 months on the LIFE project POLYFARMING ("demonstration of a new agro-silvo-pastoral system to improve productivity in the Mediterranean mountain areas", ref. LIFE15 ENV/ES/000506, funded by the European Commission). This contract is likely to start in May 2019.

TASKS

1. Control of field work.
2. Pasture management.
3. Orchard installation and monitoring.
4. Monitoring of forest exploitation.
5. Monitoring and data collection of environmental indicators.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Experience in cow management.
2. Experience in holistic pasture management.
3. Knowledge of regenerative agriculture techniques.
4. Driving licence type B.

ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS

1. The main job will be in the Garrotxa region (or county); therefore, it will have a special value the candidate resident in the area.
2. High capacity for teamwork.

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
The selection process is led by the Project Research Team, and will be overseen by the Management Office and the Human Resources Area of CREAF. This process consist of:

1. Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a résumé, a cover letter (maximum 500 words) and the questionnaire attached to the offer (filled), by e-mail to laboral@creaf.uab.cat, until 30 April, 2 PM, indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications referred to another portal, other than CREAF job openings section and the instructions included in this, will not be accepted.
2. Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria.
4. Final decision: in case of finding the suitable person, the election will be formally communicated to him/her, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section.
