CREAF is seeking a research technician to work in the Community4Nature project (developed in the framework of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme Mission 2 on Protecting, Restoring, and Valorising the Natural Environment and Heritage), with ref. Euro-MED0300730 and co-funded by the European Union. The person selected will collaborate with the group of water and global change, to support the work on governance for adaptation to climate change, aiming at improving research results to be integrated into decision-making processes and induce transformative adaptation of society with the aim of improving the management of natural resources and face of the impacts of climate change. A part-time contract (50%; 18.75 hours/week) is offered for 1 year, foreseen to start on October 1, 2023, and the contract will be linked to the budgets of the project described above ("scientific-technical activities", according to Law 14/2011), but the contract may be extended to full-time contract from January 2024, if a budget is available for participation in another project. The salary offered is €14,085.71/gross per year (for part-time contract).
El CREAF precisa incorporar un tècnic qualificat o una tècnica qualificada, per a treballar en el marc de la xarxa NEMOR - Network for European Moutnain Research en col·laboració amb la Direcció General de Polítiques de Muntanya i del Litoral (DGPML) de la Generalitat de Catalunya. S’ofereix un contracte a jornada completa (37,5h setmanals), amb previsió d’incorporació a mitjans de setembre i que serà de dos anys d’aproximadament (però s’anirà prorrogant any a any segons addenda amb la Generalitat pel projecte) amb possibilitat d’extensió si el pressupost ho permet. El salari ofert és de 28.171,43€ bruts anuals.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un tècnic o una tècnica especialista en telecomunicacions, sensors i tecnologia IoT per al projecte MICROCLIM (“Variació microclimàtica i resiliència dels embornals de carboni forestals a l'escalfament global”), amb ref. PID2020-117636GB-C21. Proyectos I+D+i - Modalidades «Retos Investigación» y «Generación de Conocimiento» 2020 finançat pel Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN). S'ofereix un contracte a jornada parcial de 8h setmanals, amb incorporació al setembre del 2023, fins al 31/09/2024 (final de projecte). S'ofereix un salari de 552,99€ bruts mensuals.
El CREAF precisa incorporar un ajudant tècnic o una ajudant tècnica, per a treballar en el projecte FUNBOSC (Xarxa de monitoratge del funcionament dels boscos catalans), amb ref. 90036 i finançat pel Departament d'Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural de la Generalitat de Catalunya. L’objectiu del projecte és implementar una xarxa de monitoratge a temps real de l’estat i dels fluxos d’aigua i carboni als boscos de Catalunya, i actualment es troba en fase de disseny. S’ofereix un contracte a jornada completa (37,5h setmanals), amb previsió d’incorporació a principis d’octubre de 2023 i una durada prevista de 3 mesos amb possibilitat d’extensió si el pressupost ho permet. El salari ofert és de 1.809,62€ bruts mensuals.

CREAF is seeking a predoctoral researcher, to develop a PhD thesis into Open Earth Monitor project (Open-Earth-Monitor - A cyberinfrastructure to accelerate uptake of environmental information and help build user communities at European and global levels) with ref. HORIZON-CL6-2021-101059548, financed by the Horizon Europe program and the European Union. This contract is envisaged to start in September 2023 and will last until the end of the project in May 2026, with a possible 4th year if the budget allows it with another project. The salary offered (gross) is stablished by the RD EPIF (Real Decreto 103/2019, de 1 de marzo, por el que se aprueba el Estatuto del personal investigador predoctoral en formación): - 1st and 2nd years (12 months): 56% of €31,520.86* = €17,651.68 each year. - 3rd year (12 months): 60% of €31,520.86* = €18,912.51. *Salary from Group 1 (M3) of the salary table from the Convenio colectivo único para el personal laboral de la Administración General del Estado.

S’ofereix un contracte de jornada completa (37,5h setmanals), amb previsió d’incorporació a principis de juliol i que serà d’aproximadament de tres mesos de durada amb possibilitat d’extensió si el pressupost ho permet. CREAF is seeking for a technician to work in the DigiMedFor project (Digital tools and technology systems for the sustainable management of Mediterranean forest resources), with ref. 1011081928 – DIGIMEDFOR – HORIZON-CL6-2022-CIRCBIO- 02-two-stage and funded by the European Commission. DigiMedFor's goal is to employ advanced and innovative digital solutions to improve the monitoring and management of forest resources along the supply chain from their origin up to the wood industry, optimizing both the sustainability of wood production and traceability and delivery of ecosystem services. A full-time contract is offered (37.5h per week), with a planned incorporation in July 2023 with an initial duration of 36 months, with possibility of extending it if required. The salary offered is €34,040.48 annually.
CREAF is seeking for a postdoctoral researcher for the STOIKOS project (Elemental ecology: towards an element-based functional ecology), with ref. 101076740 — STOIKOS — ERC-2022-STG, funded by the European Research Council, under the powers delegated by the European Commission. The project aims to investigate whether the elemental composition of organisms relates to ecosystem functioning, and whether ecosystem elemental diversity predicts ecosystem functioning better than traditional metrics of diversity. The candidate will join the Elemental Diversity and Macroecology research team ( https://elemdiv.netlify.app/ ), a multidisciplinary working team using observations, experiments, and theoretical modelling to answer our scientific questions. The candidate will benefit from the training and career development opportunities offered through our research team and CREAF, exposure to international research and interaction with other national and international collaborators. A part-time (50%) contract is offered (18,75 hours per week), with a planned incorporation on October 1st, 2023, for 6 months. The gross salary offered is €1,320,54 monthly.
