CREAF

CREAF is seeking for a researcher, to work with a sole full-time contract on the following projects (alternatively/simultaneously):
- For the CREAF contribution to the BESTMAP project (“Behavioural, Ecological and Socio-economic Tools for Modelling Agricultural Policy”, ref. H2020-SC5-2018-817501-2) from the H2020 program, funded by the European Union.
- For the CREAF contribution to the Framework project (“Farmer clusters for Realising Agrobiodiversity Management across Ecosystems”, ref. H2020-SFS-01-2019-862731-2) from the H2020 program, funded by the European Union.
The contract is initially for 6 months, starting in February 2021, and could be extended until the end of the projects, depending on funding and tasks required.

TASKS
- Maintain communication with the Framework project consortium.
- Design and start the development of the BESTMAP web dashboard.
- Deliver of the work required to fulfill the tasks assigned to CREAF.
- Do research in the fields such as Remote Sensing, Data Management, Analysis, Presentation directed to solve the challenges that BESTMAP and Framework face and in contribution to the dissemination to the results of the projects.
- Writing scientific literature.
- Be the main author of deliverables assigned to CREAF.
- Develop, apply and define architectures based on geospatial standards.
- Contribute to the integration of EU funded projects results in the MiraMon software (desktop, mobile and web) as a mechanism to elevate the TRL of solutions.
- Contribute to the promotion Grumets research group and to the use of the MiraMon software (desktop, mobile and web).

REQUIREMENTS
- PhD in Environmental, Biological Sciences, Geography or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience in postdoctorate research and development work.
- Training and experience in topics such as ecology, agriculture, phenology, remote sensing, data management; and analysis, presentation and application of geospatial standards.
- Knowledge and skills in group work.
- Good level of programming skills in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, C or similar.
- Good level of Spanish and English, written and spoken.
- Availability for traveling abroad.

ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS
- Experience in previous European Union projects.
- Experience in participatory processes and work with multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Building or contribution to web map browsing technologies.
- Deep knowledge in geospatial metadata standards and data quality standards.
- Careful attention to details.
- Good level of Catalan, written and spoken.

SELECTION PROCES AND CRITERIA
1.
