CREAF

CREAF is seeking for a technician, to work full-time for 3 months on the EFA 216/16 ALBERAPASTUR project, under the INTERREG V A Spain-France-Andorra POCTEFA 2014-2020 program from the European Union, funded in part with ERDF. The hired technician will work in the concerted planning of the Massís de L’Albera (Albera massif), participating in the elaboration of the materials and, finally, the concerted management plan for the zone. This contract is expected to start in June 2019.

TASKS

1. Analysis of cartographic information.
2. Assessment of the impact of cattle on vegetation.
3. Carry out surveys amongst the actors involved.
4. Identification of the most interesting areas to recover pastures.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Training in topics on territory management (Agricultural Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Geography).
2. Knowledge of livestock and intensive pasture management systems.
3. Knowledge of GIS.

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
The selection process is led by the project research team, and will be overseen by the Management Office and the Human Resources Area of CREAF. This process consist of:

1. Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a résumé, a cover letter (maximum 500 words) and the questionnaire attached to the offer (filled), by e-mail to laboral@creaf.uab.cat, until 3 June, 2 PM, indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications referred to another portal, other than CREAF job openings section and the instructions included in this, will not be accepted.
2. Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria.
4. Final decision: in case of finding the suitable person, the election will be formally communicated to him/her, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section.
